Donut Falls

First family hike! Last weekend we went on a short hike and it was so much fun! ( emphasis on short!) We went with our friends the Pooles!

Elsie loved it! She was giggling the whole way up! It was so much fun to do with her. On the way back down I noticed she was resting her chin... so adorable...

The inevitable. This girl doesn't miss nap time for nothin!

"Donut Falls!" It was such a pretty hike!

Elsie's first experience with pumpkins! We carved pumkins for FHE!

Confession: I don't remember actually ever carving a pumkin.. I just prefer not to. I can't even draw a stick person, how do you expect me to carve a masterpiece out of a giant gord? I don't think pumkins are gords.. anyway, Derrik carved this one.. it looks a lot more awesome lit up outside:)
Happy Halloween!

  2. That does look like a fun and pretty hike:) I laughed when I heard you don't like carving pumpkins....I don't like it either, however, I never admitted it to myself or anyone else! I do have memories of carving them, but I'm pretty sure Dad always finished it! Makes me wonder if Mom likes doing it:) Good thing we have Derrik and Jake to take over...great pumpkin Derrik!!

  3. Oh that little Elsie is adorable as ever! I'll bet she loved being outdoors.
The "donut fallls" looked awesome. Is it close by Shondel's? Claire I was shocked you didn't remember carving pumpkins!! We must have made an impression---probably so much commotion with all of us that you've had to suppress the nightmare known as "Halloween"!!!! HA!

  6. I don't know why but the expression "in the thick of it" just cracked me up...is that a "Cindyism?"
