Derrik has been attending Idaho State University to get his MBA and he graduated this May! I was really proud of him. They had a "hooding" ceremony for graduate students that was really neat to go to. My parents came from Montana to see him graduate, and Derrik's parents live in Pocatello so they were able to come too!
Here is Derrik with his mom and dad!:)
Derrik has gone by the nickname "Goose" for almost all of his life. When I met him in college he introduced himself to me as Derrik. His roommates and friends all called him Goose but to me, he was Derrik. I have never been able to bring myself to call him "Goose!" He is Goose to almost everyone else though and it's almost weird to hear anyone but me, my family, and my friends to call him "Derrik"
The graduation was held at the "Holt Arena"
I tried to get a good picture of him walking across the stage, while his name was being projected on the screen. HA! Nice try! If you look really close it says, "Derrik Casey Jones, Master of Business Administration"
Here is a picture with my parents!:)
Derrik is currently doing an internship and looking for a job! He has been working so hard and Elsie and I are lucky to have him:)On to other exciting news… my little sister, Chloe, is getting married this Saturday! In May my mom and my sister and I threw her a bridal shower! It was so much fun. Here are some pictures of that night….
This is a game we played… "He said, She said" I asked Andrew and Chloe some questions and our guests had to guess which of them said which answers on their cards. We also had them vote with "lips" and "mustaches" (lips if they think Chloe said it.. mustache for Andrew answers)
Some fun prizes for winners! Cute stationary, lip gloss, and some flip flops!:)
My mom decorated and made strawberry short cake for a little dessert. It was heavenly!
We ordered these cake bites. Oh my, cake bites.. my life is complete now!:)
Here is the close up of the game...
Chloe had the funniest gift given to her. Her friend gave her a series of gifts to open, in ORDER…1,2,3. The first tag said "what your mom wants you to wear on your wedding night"… I think we all got a little nervous what these gifts were going to be… not sure it was the right crowd for lingerie! Especially with sweet seven-year-old Halle handing Chloe her gifts:) The first gift was footy pajamas! Ha ha… ok what are 2, and 3 going to be?!?! 2…"What YOU want to wear on your wedding night…. it was a pair of really cute, very normal and modest pjs:) #3 "What your HUSBAND wants you to wear on your wedding night" She opened the box and it was empty(all except a lip gloss;)! ha ha we all got a good laugh…Here is Chloe holding up the footy pajamas. I wish I got a good picture of Chloe! She's going to be a beautiful bride!
This was my moms idea for the gift to thank everyone for coming! It was fun to make strawberry jam with my mom and sisters before the shower. I thought it was cute and clever:) I think everyone that came had a good time! We can't wait for Saturday!
