She smiles! It's adorable and so fun to see this response. Elsie was brave through her 2 month shots. Her mother however was not. I was a coward and made Derrik hold her hands down while I looked away. It was horrible to hear those shrieks and to see all those tears! She has cried before but holy moly her eye lashes were all sticking together from her tears and they were a rollin down her cheeks, it was worse than I thought. But I got to be the one to hold her and comfort her afterwards and she only cried for a minute.
Elsie is now a whopping 10 pounds 11 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long!! You go girl! She is in the 50th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height (big improvement from the 0-5th percentile she was at when she was born!) Her head is 15 inches and her chest 13 or 14, I forgot that one:)
On Sunday (April 17th, 2011) was Elsie's baby blessing! Here are some pictures from that day. We had church early and were a little rushed so there aren't a ton.

Those first shots are the worse! I'm glad Derrik was there with you, Jake has yet to be there for any of our girls shots...it would be nice to not have to be the bad guy:) Elsie's blessing was so wonderful and you forgot to mention to everyone that you MADE Elsie's dress...I really do love it and she looked so sweet. Give Elsie a kiss for us!

ReplyDeleteAt least you didn't cry at the shot appointment like I did! I wish we could've been at the blessing. It hurts my heart a little that we missed it. She looked beautiful and those hours of sewing definitely paid off.
ReplyDeleteGo Claireskys, that dress is amazing! It helps that the baby in it is so darling!!! I can't wait to meet little Elsie, she looks so big already:( I still hate the shots, Soph had some a month ago and just looked at me like, MOM DO something!!
